Lean Not On My Own Understanding

This one has some rough standards. Especially for women whose husbands had the 'spirit of jealousy'. Adultery and unfaithfulness is something that is held in high contempt throughout the Bible. Marriage is held as the example of the relationship between Christ and the Church. It is used also as an example of the relationship between God and the nation Israel. This definitely drives home the importance of having a relationship with God and making that relationship a priority.
