Ruth –

1:20 – Naomi tries to change her name, her identity. But God does not allow it. The Bible continues to call her Naomi. – Even when we think our lives are over and everything is gone. God is not done.

1:21 – Naomi continues, that God has testified against her and afflicted her. She is dealing with a lot of pain.

4:17 – The naming of Obed, the son of Ruth and Boaz. They call him the son of Naomi, as he is a redemption of her husbands line. Obed is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
