Study "Called" - Job

 Job –

1:4 – Job’s sons called his daughters to join them in a feast.

5:1 – Job’s friend Eliphaz, is explaining that suffering comes as a chastening by God. He tells Job to call out to see if any will answer him. He proceeds to ask Job which saint he will turn too.

9:16 – Job is speaking, saying he would not believe that God heard him, even if He answered him. Job is struggling with why he is suffering, he does not see the reason for it. Yet he still asks God for an answer.

12:4 – Job continues to state he has been faithful and upright, yet he is mocked by those around him. And he continues to call upon God.

13:22 – Job asks God to call to him. To ask of Job or to answer Job. Job seeks answer from God.

14:15 – Job again is asking God to answer him. That God’s will would be done.

19:16 – Job is speaking of the trial that he is going through. Even his servants will not answer him.

27:10 – Job is speaking of his enemies. He maintains that he has been upright in his dealings.

42:14 – Job names his three new daughters. Jemima meaning “day by day“, Kezia meaning “cassia“(this is a bark similar to cinnamon), and Kerenhappuch meaning “horn of antimony“ (to make beautiful).
