Study "Woman" - Revelation

Revelation –

2:20 – Reference to Jezebel. Thyatira allowing the influence of false teachers.

12:1 – Reference to a type of Israel. A woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and a crown of 12 stars.

12:4 – The dragon drawing starts from heaven and attempting to devour the woman’s child. (Symbolic of  Satan and Israel.)

12:6 – The woman flees and hides in the place God has prepared for her. 3 ½ years.

12:13 – The dragon is specifically trying to kill the woman who bears the child.

12:14 – The woman is bourn away to safety for 3 ½ years.

12:15 – The serpent trying to kill the woman.

12:16 – The earth helps the woman and confounds the efforts of the serpent.

12:17 – The serpent is angry and makes war with the remnant of her seed. (Those that keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.)

17:3 – Another woman sitting on the beast.

17:4 – This woman is dressed richly and has a cup of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.

17:6 – This woman is drunk with the blood of the saints and the martyrs of Jesus.

17:7 – Angel says he will tell the mystery of this second woman.

17:9 – The seven heads of the beast are seven mountains.

17:18 – This second woman is the great city that reigneth over the kings of the earth.
