1 Samuel –
1:15 – Hannah is explaining to the priest that she is not drunk, but distraught, and desperately beseeching God.
1:18 – Again, referring to Hannah. Taking peace in her faith in God.
1:23 – Hannah staying home from traveling to the Temple of God, until Samuel is grown enough to be given in service.
1:26 – Hannah is telling the priest who she is.
2:20 – The blessing of Hannah and her husband.
15:3 – Instruction given to Saul. That all are to be killed. The Amalekites totally wiped out. (He doesn’t follow it and it leads to problems in the future. See Esther.)
20:30 – Insult Saul gives to his son, Jonathan. Degrades his mother.
25:3 – Reference to Abigail. A woman of beauty and understanding.
27:9 – David destroying all the people he is told to.
27:11 – Again, David wiping out all the people he is told to. Contrast to Saul.
28:7 – Saul looking for a medium. The witch of Endor.
28:8 – Saul visits said woman.
28:9 – The woman asks him if he really wants her to risk her life.
28:11 – Saul asks to see Samuel.
28:12 – She actually sees Samuel and realizes that she’s talking to Saul, himself.
28:13 – Saul tells her to not be afraid and to tell him what he wants to know.
28:21 – The woman submits herself to Sauls authority and tries to get him to eat.
28:23 – Saul refuses the woman and his servants.
28:24 – The woman butchers a calf and bakes bread, once she and his servants finally convince Saul to eat.
