1 Samuel –

1:15 – Hannah is explaining to the priest that she is not drunk, but distraught, and desperately beseeching God.

1:18 – Again, referring to Hannah. Taking peace in her faith in God.

1:23 – Hannah staying home from traveling to the Temple of God, until Samuel is grown enough to be given in service.

1:26 – Hannah is telling the priest who she is.

2:20 – The blessing of Hannah and her husband.

15:3 – Instruction given to Saul. That all are to be killed. The Amalekites totally wiped out. (He doesn’t follow it and it leads to problems in the future. See Esther.)

20:30 – Insult Saul gives to his son, Jonathan.  Degrades his mother.

25:3 – Reference to Abigail. A woman of beauty and understanding.

27:9 – David destroying all the people he is told to.

27:11 – Again, David wiping out all the people he is told to. Contrast to Saul.

28:7 – Saul looking for a medium. The witch of Endor.

28:8 – Saul visits said woman.

28:9 – The woman asks him if he really wants her to risk her life.

28:11 – Saul asks to see Samuel.

28:12 – She actually sees Samuel and realizes that she’s talking to Saul, himself.

28:13 – Saul tells her to not be afraid and to tell him what he wants to know.

28:21 – The woman submits herself to Sauls authority and tries to get him to eat.

28:23 – Saul refuses the woman and his servants.

28:24 – The woman butchers a calf and bakes bread, once she and his servants finally convince Saul to eat.
